Our team
The SLO Strummers include ukulele players from more than six communities in San Luis Obispo County, California.
We're mostly intermediate players.
Many of the songs we sing and tunes we play are specially arranged by our music director and have more than three chords. Reading music notation is helpful but not required; instrumental ensemble music includes both notation and tab.
What Music do we play?
We play all sorts of music!
Some Strummers learn from musical notation, some from tablature, and some play primarily by ear . We sing songs our audiences like, and also play instrumental ensemble arrangements.
When do we meet?
The SLO Strummers meet every other Monday
from 7 PM to 9 at Mount Carmel Lutheran Church,
1701 Fredericks Street in San Luis Obispo.
